Painting from light to dark is quite different than painting from dark to light as one does in oil painting. These mermaid mugs have been very popular. In this shot you can see how the frame just pops against all that wonderful blue color. That is on the ship, too! I love their shades, actually. Do you see his initials under the American Flag!??

I have been so busy lately and have not kept up with my blogging.
About the Artist
This has a great gold lined shade, compliments of Restoration Hardware. I am working on wiring them and having a custom gingham shade made for each.
Unfortunately, a lot of times as you fire, some of the colors are less vibrant. I have a spicyer bit to fill so I will be talking away in the near future. This one, uhhhhh, just right. I have painted a lot of lighthouses in my day, but this is a new one for me. At the moment, I am a little infatuated with George Washington. This spiicher a ring dish. I am sure there is a cap, but you know what I mean.
Wednesday, November 21, Pottery. This was painted for a valentine’s gift and it is a surprise from a guy who calls himself KEV.
This is a flower vase, it is a special order.
I love the red and white tower and it reminds me of a lighthouse that I painted before. I use these pieces for small flowers or for ice water. The frame is a good one and one of my better frames that I own at the time.
That is it, folks. I thought that this was the frame and at first I was going in a different direction with this. They are all one of a kind. Some of my first artwork 30 years ago was all about George Washington. I really enjoyed working on this project. These sort of speak for themselves. I made Fraktur art of his image. It was very difficult and was like re-learning to paint. I can tell how he communicated about them. I showed this before. This one is too smashed from side to side.
I am working on a painting at the moment for a gentlemen who wants the Smeaton Tower painted. My lines never make sense, either. I love their shades, actually. Raccoons and people were also subjects that were of interest. It seems like so long ago, yet it went so very fast. Merry Christmas Rick and Grace and Reedus!! I really love it. I have them all sold:
